CAPE TOWN EAGLE

* We have received reports that bulk carrier, CAPE TOWN EAGLE, experienced a fire on board in the port of Ulsan, South Korea, on 30 May 2023.

* The fire is reported to have started in cargo hold No. 4 during the loading of Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA).

* The crew and local firefighters assisted in putting out the fire. The vessel remains at the port in Ulsan to ascertain the extent of any damage and for investigations into the incident.

* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
