MSC SUEZ

* We have received reports that container ship, MSC SUEZ (IMO: 8918978) experienced an engine failure in a position approximately 66 nautical miles north west of A Coruna, Spain on 19 July 2024.

* It is reported that the vessel was taken under tow by tugs to Vigo, for inspection and possibly, repairs, where it is reported that time sensitive cargo will be discharged and transhipped to other vessels for on-carriage to destination to avoid unnecessary delay in the carriage of that cargo.

* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
