* We have received reports that container ship SOLONG (IMO: 9322554) collided with chemical/products tanker STENA IMMACULATE (IMO: 9693018) in the North Sea off the Humber Estuary, UK on 10 March 2025.

* STENA IMMACULATE is a chemical/products tanker with a gross tonnage of 29,854 tonnes and a carrying capacity of up to 46,573 litres of product. It is reported to be on a laden voyage from Agioi Theodoroi, Greece, to Immingham, UK, and was reportedly at anchor at the time of the collision.

* It is reported that a cargo tank, laden with Jet-A1 fuel, was ruptured on board STENA IMMACULATE and a fire was ignited, possibly engulfing both vessels, as a consequence of the collision and firefighting tugs have been dispatched to the scene to assist in extinguishing the fire(s).

* The crews of both vessels are reported to have abandoned ship but it is not currently clear whether there have been any significant casualties as a result of the fire.

* It is possible that General Average, Salvage and Recovery issues may arise as a result of this incident.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us if you are concerned with any cargo on board these vessels so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
